Beef survey closes soon

There is only one week remaining to submit your views via anonymous survey if you are a grass-fed beef cattle levy payer. The survey takes around five minutes to complete and will form the basis of WAFarmers’ submission to the current Senate Inquiry into levies. Click here to take the survey. Livestock ship visit

A small group of WAFarmers Meat Councillors, members and staff went on board Wellard’s Ocean Drover on Friday January 17 to look at procedures and on-board conditions for livestock.  Expectations were high and the consensus was that conditions were impressive. Datamars deal for members

Members will have received a red Datamars ear tag-shaped key ring printed with their membership number in the post with their membership renewal notice. Datamars will soon be offering quarterly deals to WAFarmers members which can be redeemed by quoting your membership number when ordering tags through a Datamars supplier. Water and time a must on NVDs

WAFarmers would like to remind members that they must include the time-off water and departure time for livestock when filling out National Vendor Declarations (NVDs). At last audit, Muchea reported 50 per cent of NVDs did not include this piece of information. Destination Property Identification Codes (PICs) are also required on NVDs – click here to view a list of frequently used PICs.
