WAFarmers is making a submission on the senate inquiry into Environmental Biosecurity. WAFarmers welcomes the appointment of the incoming chair of the board of directors of the Sheep CRC, Duncan Fraser. As a former President of the National Farmers’ Federation, Mr Fraser will ensure funding continues for the Sheep CRC and interests of rural communities are heard and acted upon as far as innovative R&D is concerned. Advice has been received from the Department of Agriculture that the queen bee levy will be set at zero from August 1, 2104.
