AgConnectWA’s northern success

AgConnectWA, WAFarmers’ group for young people with an interest in agriculture, has begun extending its reach to the north following its first successful event in the Kimberley region, held in conjunction with Northern Beef Futures.

The sundowner, held at Matso’s Brewery in Broome on Friday, was attended by over 40 young people from across the agricultural industry.

AgConnectWA Vice President Katie Pole, a Perth based lawyer who hails from Larrawa Station near Fitzroy Crossing, said the event was a fantastic opportunity for likeminded people located in the Kimberley region to network.

“This was the first event of its kind for AgConnectWA and it was really encouraging to see current and future northern members connect with one another.

“Northern WA is fairly isolated so it’s really important that we provide opportunities for the young people working in agriculture up here,” Ms Pole said.

AgConnectWA connects, represents and provides support to young people with a passion for agriculture and progressing rural communities.
