Mouths are starting to water across the state as WAFarmers prepares for the fourth annual Heart of WA gala dinner on Friday 15 September at HBF Stadium.
Now only four weeks away, the event has evolved significantly in 2017 in an effort to showcase even more outstanding Western Australian produce.
“In WA, we are lucky to have some of the most exceptional produce in the world; from truffles in the southern forest region, to the chillies of Carnarvon, to seafood from our vast coastal region and everything in between, we are spoilt for choice,” WAFarmers President Tony York said.
“This year WAFarmers is turning up the heat on profiling some of the best ingredients our great state has to offer at Heart of WA, over a six course degustation menu designed especially for guests.
“The first two courses, featuring produce from Linley Valley Pork and Harvey Beef, have been announced, with information about the remaining courses to be revealed in the coming weeks.”
Mr York said the black-tie event would be a sensational gastronomic experience for guests, as well as a networking opportunity for the agricultural, food and drink industries on a grand scale.
“In addition to tickling guests’ taste-buds with our fantastic menu, Heart of WA will recognise those who work so hard to put food on our tables,” he said.
“It is the only event in WA to attract everyone from your local farmer or butcher to your grain merchant, agronomist and machinery dealer, so it really is a celebration all of the people involved in producing the state’s outstanding food and drink.
“Further, not only does attendance guarantee you a night of fine dining and entertainment, but you will also contribute to the ability of WAFarmers to continue to represent the voice of farmers throughout Western Australia and continue to work towards a more viable, profitable and sustainable future for the agricultural industry.”
