Call for input for Issues Paper

WAFarmers is calling on feedback from members on the Agricultural Competitiveness Issues Paper.  The issues paper identifies the key issues the government would like primary producers’ input on and will guide the development of the Agricultural Competitiveness White Paper.

The issues paper raises questions on matters that influence the competitiveness of Australian agriculture such as: food security; improving farm gate returns, including drought management; access to finance; competitiveness through the value chain; regional communities; inputs along the supply chain; reducing inefficient regulation; enhancing agricultural exports; effectiveness of incentives for investment and job creation and any other issues deemed to be critical to agricultural competitiveness.

Feedback will need to be received by 10 April to Danielle Whitfield on 08 9486 2100 or [email protected].  Alternatively, members may make their own submission by 17 April.  For more information visit http://www.agriculturalcompetitiveness.dpmc.gov.au/
