Check for unclaimed super monies by 16 December 2016

WAFarmers hosted representatives from Prime Super last week, who spoke to staff about products and services available to WAFarmers staff, members and the wider public.

Chief Executive Officer Lachlan Baird and Regional Manager Radek Kotlarczyk joined staff at Head Office, and explained how their organisation’s focus on good, long-term investments and straightforward superannuation solutions could be of benefit to the WAFarmers community.

In addition to this and information on their fees, flexible services and investment options, Mr Kotlarczyk advised staff that the super funds with unclaimed superannuation monies and no activity in the last two years would be forfeited to the ATO after 16 December 2016. This means that anyone with multiple open super funds, particularly young people who have had many casual jobs during their studies, could potentially lose funds accrued if they are not transferred to their current super fund.

WAFarmers advises members to check with the super fund to see if they have money left in a secondary account or accounts that should be rolled over. Visit the ATO on the following website or, if you are a Prime Super member and wish to move funds from other super funds into your Prime Super fund, contact Mr Kotlarczyk on 0429 410 426.
