Current submissions

WAFarmers is working on a number of submissions at the moment and is seeking input from our members in the following areas:

Wool Selling Systems Review
Australian Wool Innovation (AWI) has commissioned the Wool Selling Systems Review (WSSR) on behalf of Australian woolgrowers. The objective of the WSSR is to improve the returns received by growers for their wool.
WA Farmers will be putting in a submission to the AWI instigated Wool Selling Systems Review. Consultation is due February 27, 2015. This review is looking for creative ideas around the sale of wool at any part of the selling process.

A detailed issues paper is available to assist individuals and organisations in preparing submissions for the inquiry. To access the document please click here. For more information contact Kim Haywood at WAFarmers on (08) 9486 2100 or email [email protected]

The Beef Language Review
Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) and the Australian Meat Processor Corporation (AMPC) are jointly supporting a project to undertake a critical scientific examination of how the changing wants and needs of customers and consumers might potentially reshape the ‘language’ used across all sectors of the Australian beef industry. The project will culminate in a White Paper.

Submissions are due by February 16, 2015. To contribute to the WAFarmers submission, or for more information, please contact Kim Haywood on (08) 9486 2100 or email [email protected]
