Ladies meet for first time to lead the way

The Western Australian Farmers Federation (Inc.) (WAFarmers) Leading Ladies will be holding its first meeting next Wednesday, 16 January, at the WAFarmers Head Office in Burswood.

The purpose of the meeting is to begin developing the Leading Ladies action plan, what is expected of the group and to take nominations for the Committee.

WAFarmers Marketing and Communications Manager, Allie McNeice, urged all women with an interest in agriculture to attend the first official meeting for Leading Ladies.

“WAFarmers Leading Ladies is open to all women in WA particularly those who wish to bridge the gap between urban and rural areas,” Ms McNeice said.

Ms McNeice said while uniting women across Western Australia who wish to make a difference to the future of agriculture and regional Western Australia, Leading Ladies will be formulating an action plan for how we work together to move forward with confidence.

“WAFarmers Leading Ladies aspires to develop an action plan to assist our future generations’ understanding and appreciation of where their food comes from,” Ms McNeice said.

“Please come with lots of enthusiasm and ideas for input into the action plan, the more ideas, the more thorough our plan can be.

“This will also be a prime opportunity for women to step forward and take a position on the WAFarmers Leading Ladies committee.”
