Lobby group holds 102nd conference

The State’s largest agricultural lobby group will tomorrow commence its 102nd Annual Conference at the Vines Country Club and Resort, sponsored by Coles.

The 2014 WAFarmers Annual Conference, A Farming Prospectus, will feature a range of industry experts speaking on various topics relevant to the agricultural industry.

The two-day event will also include the WAFarmers Annual General Meeting and Meat, Wool and Grains Section conferences.

WAFarmers President Dale Park said the conference was an opportunity to present relevant and informative speakers to members and the agricultural community.

“This year, speakers at the conference will deliver up-to-date information and the tools attendees need to farm efficiently and effectively well into the future,” Mr Park said.

“It is my hope that attendees leave this event feeling invigorated and positive about the future of WA’s agricultural sector.”

A Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony, featuring guest speaker Danny Green, will close the conference on Thursday, March 20.

The event is sponsored by Coles, CBH Group, Grains Research & Development Corporation, Meat and Livestock Australia, Department of Agriculture and Food WA and the Australian Wool Testing Authority.

Updates from the conference can be followed using the hashtag #WAFCON14 on Twitter.
