More Finance Forums in February

WAFarmers will be running a second round of Farm Finance Forums in February to assist farmers in strengthening their businesses.

Following the success of three Farm Finance Forums held in October 2013, a further three events will be held to reach even more of the agricultural community.

“We had such an encouraging response to the series of forums held in October that WAFarmers has decided to hold another round,” WAFarmers President Dale Park said.

“Representatives from more than 160 farm businesses attended last time and an overwhelming majority said they left feeling more confident regarding their business and finances.”

Speakers from a range of organisations will discuss issues including business planning, Personal Property Securities legislation and resilience and prosperity building strategies.

“Agriculture in WA is at a crucial point – many have experienced a successful year and need to consider their next moves in order to ensure future prosperity,” Mr Park said.

“Others who have not fared so well in this past season and those before are still in need of advice on how to secure their businesses into the future.

“These forums will address each of these situations.”

The February forums will be held in Cranbrook on February 5, Morawa on February 7 and Tammin on February 21.
