There is currently an ongoing Australian Government initiative to provide a centralised, online communications platform to enable robust public engagement with various government agencies.
In line with this, the Department of Agriculture has transitioned all web content regarding the future post entry quarantine facility to The Post Entry Quarantine GovSpace site. Any future content including updates will also be posted to this new platform.
The home page will be where the department provides latest news and blog updates. The ‘Facility Design’ page illustrates floor plans and conceptual models of each compound. ‘About PEQ’ provides an overview of post entry quarantine in Australia and the ‘History’ page provides specific background on the project, including the Public Works Committee decision. The ‘FAQs’ page is split into ‘The Site’, ‘Animals’, and ‘Plants’ and covers some of the common questions asked during our stakeholder consultation sessions held across the country. Finally, ‘Contact Us’ has all the details about how to contact the PEQ Project team.
