RBDC regional seminars on farm business assistance

WAFarmers advises members that regional seminars titled ‘Assistance to farm businesses’ are being conducted by the Rural Business Development Corporation (RBDC) .

In conjunction with the Rural Financial Counselling Service (RFCSWA), the Regional Men’s Health Initiative (RMHI) and the Department of Human Services (DHS), RBDC and the Department of Agriculture, will provide information on their services on offer to farm businesses, particularly to those under stress.

Presentations will include details about the variety of concessional and drought loan schemes, eligibility for the Farm Household Allowance Scheme and how to better prepare yourself and your business in times of stress.

When considering a variety of funded assistance packages it is important that you don’t self-assess your potential eligibility. Recent experience has seen some businesses, who originally assumed that they would not be eligible, qualify for assistance after attending an information seminar.

The seminars are being conducted in Manjimup, Katanning, Newdegate and Bruce Rock in February. The tour will continue to Mukinbudin, Dalwallinu, Mullewa and Moora in March. For further information, please phone the RBDC on 1800 198231 (free call) or email [email protected].
