With the State government wishing to reduce red tape for the agricultural industry, WAFarmers has this week written to the Environment Minister, Albert Jacob, asking that when apiary permits are issued by the Department of Parks and Wildlife, that a clearing permit to clear and maintain the site be issued by the Department of Environment and Regulation at the same time for the duration of the apiary site permit.
Issuing both permits at the same time would take away the necessity to apply for each permit separately. We hope, that even though the permits are administered by two different departments, that common sense will prevail.
