Have your say on WA agriculture

The Department of Agriculture and Food (DAFWA) invites you to participate in one of the focus groups being held in Albany, Northam and Geraldton with six to eight other RRR Network members and/or RIRDC Rural Women’s Award recipients.

The focus groups will be facilitated by a consultant from a third party researcher (Painted Dog Research). The group discussion will take around 90 minutes, be confidential, and your personal and individual business information will remain anonymous in the final results.

DAFWA wants to understand the perceptions of the WA agriculture industry and is conducting preliminary exploratory research to determine baselines issues, to aid in the creation of future programs. This will be in the context of one of the 14 proposed Seizing the Opportunity Business Cases (funded by Royalties for Regions) – Building a Positive Profile for WA Agriculture and Food.

This Business Case is essentially a change management project and is being designed to ensure that industry players understand the opportunity and importance of a positive profile and have the desire, confidence and capability to promote themselves.

Register your interest by emailing [email protected] indicating your preferred location [11 July -Albany, 8 July – Northam or 11 July – Geraldton] or by calling Fern on 08 9316 3366. With a very limited capacity at each location, be sure to sign up now to avoid disappointment.  Further, if registering by email, please include your phone number for follow-up confirmation.

If you have any questions about the research project please contact Clare Bailey, Strategic Marketing & Operations Manager at DAFWA’s South Perth office on 08 9368 3641 or at [email protected]
