Act now or risk having your firearms seized
Some firearm licence holders are subject to Transition Authorities issued under the Firearms Act 2024.
If you have been contacted by the WA Police Force, you must take the following action immediately:
If your Transitional Authority is nearing expiry
Complete the requirements of your transition to a new firearm authority under the Firearms Act 2024
OR
Deposit your firearm(s) with a licensed firearms dealer or at a police station.
If your Transition Authority has expired
You are no longer authorised to possess your firearm(s).
You must surrender your firearm(s) and ammunition at a police station.
Please note, dealers are prohibited from receiving firearms that are no longer licenced.
