WAFarmers and AgConnectWA get behind #GenerationAg

AgConnectWA, in conjunction with WAFarmers, has secured a limited number of discounted tickets for individuals under 35 to the 2015 WAFarmers Annual Conference to be held at the Pan Pacific in Perth next month.

Young people with a passion for agriculture and progressing rural communities are encouraged to take advantage of this special offer.

At such a discounted price the next generation of farmers can’t afford not to go, AgConnectWA President Kallum Blake said.

“I would personally like to see as many young people there as possible,” Mr Blake said.

“To shape an agricultural sector that is what we want it to be, we must get involved.”

The WAFarmers’ Conference will focus on Innovation, Image and Investment, inspiring the next generation to become and remain a part of the agricultural industry in WA.

Fremantle Dockers star Nat Fyfe will be speaking at the business breakfast. Just last year Fyfe became the face of the AWI Fibre of Football campaign and he comes from a farming background in Lake Grace.

The conference will also include a political panel discussion with Shadow Minister for Agriculture Joel Fitzgibbon, Shadow Minister for Agriculture and Food Ken Travers, Senator Zhenya Wang, Senator Rachel Siewert and Senator Chris Back.

The conference is an opportunity to share information, connect with others and build lasting relationships with fellow industry members across production, supply, consultancy and research.

The WAFarmers Annual Conference will take place at Pan Pacific (formerly the Sheraton) on February 19 and 20. Discounted tickets are limited and must be purchased by Monday, January 26.
