WHAT WE DO
WAFarmers advocates on behalf of more than 3,500 farmers across Western Australia. The industries represented are Grains, Livestock (sheep and cattle) and Dairy.
The role of WAFarmers is to provide Western Australian farmers with the best representation possible and to advocate at state and national levels in order to achieve the best outcome for farmers.
Some of the roles of WAFarmers include:
- Engaging with politicians and key industry stakeholders
- State and national representation
- Policy development
- Presence in the media; and
- Information dissemination
WAFarmers has councils and committees that deal with policy development and advocacy first-hand for each commodity. These councils receive information directly from our members and work together with the respective officer to structure policy submissions to present to government.
