Relief in native title funding
The reinstatement of native title funding by the Coalition government provides relief to pastoralists and restores balance between respondents and claimants, WAFarmers President Dale Park said today. Last week, Attorney-General George Brandis announced the Federal government would reinstate $2.2 million of funding used to assist respondents in native title cases withdrawn by the previous government. Mr Park said the restoration of the funding would reinstate the former balance where respondents and claimants were equally supported
