Dairy Council represented in Melbourne

This week, Dairy Council President Phil Depiazzi is representing Western Australian dairy farmers at the Australian Dairy Industry Council (ADIC) forum to develop an Australian dairy industry vision and strategic priorities drawing on the work done by the Horizon 2020 project and the Australian Dairy Farmers (ADF) Summit. Both the Horizon 2020 and the ADF Summit had members of the WAFarmers Dairy Council involved in these programs, ensuring our members were represented.

The objectives of the ADIC Strategic Forum are to develop a shared industry-wide vision for Australian dairy and a coherent set of national industry priorities that will direct and optimize collective investment and collaborative activity.

The expected outcome of the half-day Forum is to achieve the basis of an industry-wide vision and priorities, with input from key industry leadership, drawing from and building on previous industry initiatives and in particular the outcomes of the ADF summit.

WAFarmers was invited to attend as the state member of ADF and therefore ADIC, the peak representative body for the entire dairy supply chain.
