Implementation of Wild Dog Action Plan kicks off

Next week sees nearly 50 delegates from Australia’s extensive industries, federal and state government and research bodies meet in Brisbane to ‘kick-off’ the implementation of the National Wild Dog Action Plan.

The National Wild Dog Action Plan is a national plan and presents as a model that could be adapted for other pest management programs.

The Wild Dog Action Plan is a showcase of industry and government working quickly together to identify a collaborative and coordinated approach to tackling greater management of the serious threat of wild dog predation to Australian industry.

WoolProducers Australia along with industry, government and researchers have all agreed to the actions outlined in the plan. All have urged that the positive development momentum be maintained.

To this end stakeholders are coming together for the National Stakeholder Forum, ‘Action Against Wild Dogs’, to begin the plan’s implementation, enabling activities that will quickly guide a national implementation process working with all key stakeholders.
