WAFarmers has recorded an operating surplus for the first time since 2010, after recharging their finances and reconnecting with members over the past 12 months. Christmas has arrived early in the Shire of Esperance, with donated money and goods steadily continuing to reach the areas affected by bushfire, and a festive party held over the weekend. This morning, an Esperance Freight Lines road train left Welshpool bound for Esperance with 50 tonnes of livestock pellets on board. A formal relief appeal has been established to assist farmers who were affected by the fires in the Shire of Esperance. Working alongside the Shire of Esperance, WAFarmers will assist in the management of a donation register for items including stock feed, clean seeds for next year’s crop, seed millet, agistment placements, items to repair properties such as fencing and water fittings, or any other items that would be useful to those affected.
