The Western Australian Farmers Federation (Inc.) (WAFarmers) congratulates longstanding WAFarmers member, Mr Lang Coppin for his award within the Order of Australia.
WAFarmers President, Dale Park, said Mr Coppin has been a member of WAFarmers since 1985 and has been actively involved within the organisation through his membership of WAFarmers Pastoral Section and Meat Council.
“Mr Coppin was also a former WAFarmers Board Member on the Cattle Council of Australia,” Mr Park said.
The Order of Australia is the pre-eminent way Australians recognise the achievements and service of their fellow citizens, with nominations coming directly from the community; either individuals or groups.
In the Australian honours system appointments to the Order of Australia confer recognition for outstanding achievement and service.
“This accurately summarises Mr Coppin’s invaluable contribution to his community through Local Government at the shire of East Pilbara and volunteering roles in bodies such as the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) and Isolated Children’s Parents’ Association (ICPA),” Mr Park said.
“On behalf of WAFarmers, I take great pleasure in commending Mr Coppin on this wonderful achievement,” concluded Mr Park.
